Ornamental Structures

Clock Tower
First time travelers to Wichita Falls often ask “What are those little buildings at the traffic intersections?” Across the city there are eleven of these ornamental structures which are part of the city’s median beautification program. The structures hide the bright stainless steel traffic signal control boxes, and help to create a friendly environment for people as they travel thru the city.

The structures are all designed and built by the Parks Maintenance Division. The program began In the late 80's in an attempt to enhance the beauty of a landscaping project at the intersection of Brook and Seymour Highway.
