Did you know?

  • Rats and mice are known to spread many diseases worldwide. 
  • Many diseases do not cause any apparent illness in rodents, so you cannot determine whether a rodent is carrying a disease just by looking at it.
  • Mice can fit through a hole the width of a pencil (1/4 in or 6 mm in diameter).
  • If evidence of infestation (new droppings, urine spots, gnawing, etc.) persists after one week, you may be dealing with a rodent infestation.

The Vector/Mosquito Control Program does not perform Pest Control functions, such as mice and rat exterminating. These functions are performed by professional Pest Control Operators listed in the yellow pages of the phone directory under "Pest Control Services".
