The Arts and Cultural Empowerment (ACE) Awards, presented by the Wichita Falls Alliance for Arts and Culture, will take place Wednesday, October 18. The awards ceremony and luncheon will be held at Delta Hotels by Marriott Wichita Falls Convention Center near the MPEC. The ACE Awards recognize the achievement of individuals and organizations whose contributions to the cultural landscape of Wichita County have made this a more vibrant place to live. All types of work that support the making, creation, or support of the arts are considered. This includes visual, performing, and culinary artists; arts educators, arts patrons, arts professionals, and volunteers; as well as organizations, institutions, corporations, and businesses who work in or support the arts in Wichita County. Nominations open Friday, May 26, and will close Saturday, August 26. Tickets will be on sale in September.

Printmaking is traditionally done using a printing press... but there are many ways to create prints without that expensive equipment! Students will learn multiple forms of printing that can be done without a press, using simple supplies. They'll have a variety of completed artwork at the end of camp.
Learn the world's most popular premier digital art software! Students will learn how to use Procreate, which is rapidly becoming an industry standard for digital artists across the world. This camp is suitable for beginners and intermediate Procreate users. Students will learn about digital brushes, color mixing, image sizing, creating and saving files, applying layers and masks, and more in-depth features of the app.
