  2. Lynwood Community Center

    The Lynwood Community Center has been closed to the public due to the buildings deteriorating conditions. The city of Wichita Falls has been aware of the situation and working to resolve the issue. A plan has been developed to utilize the building for live burning exercises. Once the training has ended, the facility will be completely rebuilt as a brand new functional community center. City officials are pleased to have found a way to use the building both for training purposes and then rebuild for the future of the community.

  3. Maplewood Avenue Extensions - Road Closure Notice

    February 3, 2020, 8:00 AM - February 8, 2020, 5:00 PM @ Maplewood Avenue

    As part of the 2019 Maplewood Avenue Extension Project, construction will begin Monday, February 3rd, and is expected to last approximately nine months. Maplewood Avenue will be closed to all traffic at Lawrence Road going West along the South frontage road of Walmart. Lawrence Road access to Walmart will not be affected. Please drive slowly and use caution when traveling in this area.
