Reservable Shelters

There are 11 parks in the city that have large covered shelters that can be reserved for family or group activities. There is a $15 fee to reserve a shelter. Reservations will assure that you have a shelter the day and time of your activity. The shelters are used quite regularly so reservations are highly recommended. Reservations can be made in 4 hour increments. Reserve online or contact the Recreation Office at 940.761.7490 to check for availability and to make your reservation with Visa or MasterCard. A confirmation card with the date and times you request will be sent to you in the mail, or a permit will be sent to the e-mail provided. Park restrooms may be closed for Winter.

Many of the parks also have smaller gazebo type shelters. These are available on a first come, first served basis.
