Disc Golf

Disc Golf is a fun-filled game of skill and challenge that can be played by the whole family. The game is played like golf but instead of using a set of clubs, specialized discs, similar to a Frisbee, are used to drive, chip and putt to the hole, which is actually a chain basket mounted on a pole. Each "hole" has a par like a golf course, players "tee off" and keep score to see who has the lowest total at the end of the game.

If you're up for some exercise, a lot of fun, and a test of your physical skills, give disc golf a try while enjoying the beauty of the City's park system.

Two Courses for Challenging Fun

The City of Wichita Falls has two 18-hole disc golf courses: one in Lucy Park, 100 Sunset Drive, and one in Lake Wichita Park, 5205 Fairway Blvd. The course located in Lucy Park begins along Sunset Drive next to the Lucy Park Log Cabin. Lucy Park Disc Golf Map

The Lake Wichita Park course begins south of the small shelter near the playground along Fairway Blvd. Both courses are utilized on a first come first served basis and participants must furnish their own discs.

Score cards can be obtained at the Recreation Office 600 11th Street, Room 209.
