Health Promotions
Health Promotions is for individuals 18 and up who have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, Pre-diabetes, or are at risk of developing Pre-diabetes.
Deep Classes:

Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (DEEP)
Our FREE diabetes empowerment education classes (DEEP) are for individuals who have been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. They are held once a week for six weeks and are taught by trained Health Educators using licensed Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) curriculum. The classes are 1.5 hours long and are offered both mornings and evenings. Topics include:

This program is for adults with a diagnosis of pre-diabetes or at risk of developing pre-diabetes.
We will meet once a week for 12 weeks for 1.5 hours each class. Each class will have 1 hour of education and 30 mins physical activity.

Classes include physical activity and cover many topics including:
Healthy snacking and eating out
Setting and achieving goals
Losing and maintaining a healthy weight
Modifying your diet
Increasing physical activity and more!
The goal is to make incremental lifestyle changes that, over time, become habits in order to prevent the onset of a Type 2 Diabetes diagnosis.
You will have access to the Health District’s amazing staff, which includes:
Certified Community Health Workers
Certified Lifestyle Coaches
Diabetes Educators
Registered Dietician
A Certified Fitness Instructor
Community Champions that teach the class!
