JLUS-Joint Land Use Study

The Sheppard Air Force Base (SAFB) Joint Land Use Study is a collaborative planning effort led by the City of Wichita Falls in partnership with the cities of Burkburnett, Cashion Community, Electra, Iowa Park, and Frederick (Oklahoma), the Town of Pleasant Valley, the counties of Wichita and Tillman (Oklahoma), and SAFB. The JLUS was undertaken in an effort to guide planning and development in the areas surrounding Sheppard AFB and its auxiliary airfield at Frederick Regional Airport to facilitate mitigation of future issues and strengthen coordination among all entities involved in the process.
