Responsibilities
The City of Wichita Falls Public Information Office is responsible for effectively communicating to the public and the media the business and activities of City government, departments, services and events.

This is accomplished through this website, Facebook, Twitter, the City’s television station, Time Warner Cable Channel 11, daily communication with City leaders, department heads and employees and press releases sent to all print media and broadcast television and radio stations.

Keeping Citizens Informed
The Public Information Office utilizes a state-of-the art digital television studio and digital video equipment for live broadcasts of City Council and Board and Commission meetings, election coverage and other special events.
The department also goes into the field to videotape interviews, project activity and special events throughout the area related to city business, culture and recreation. These programs can be seen on the City's television station, City Channel News, on Time Warner Cable Channel 11 and through the Media Center on this site.
