Children wishing to visit the library during the summer months will be able to take a bus for free to the library. Any child ages 8 and up can ride the City bus to and from the library for free. Children 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult, who may also ride to the library without paying a fare. Fare cards are available for pickup at the library. Children will have the back of their fare card stamped as validation that they have visited the library. The event begins May 28th and ends August 23rd, 2019.

It's JUNE! That means FREE OR LOW COST HEARTWORM TESTS for canines all month long at P.E.T.S.! You read that right, during the month of June, the P.E.T.S. Clinic offers FREE Heartworm Test for canines ( When you purchase a 12-month supply of preventative). If you are not purchasing a 12-month supply, P.E.T.S. will offer half-priced testing all month long. For Heartworm testing and medication, vaccinations, and any of their non-surgical services, there's no appointment necessary.

The Wichita Falls City Council meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. The meetings are held in the Council Chambers located on the first floor of Municipal Auditorium. The meetings are open to the public. The City Council Agenda is posted on the city Website the Friday prior to the scheduled Council meeting.
