    The Kemp is the latest exhibit in the What's Up Downstairs? Gallery at the Kemp features the artwork of WFHS art teacher Chris Mayfield. His work reinterprets contemporary pop culture images, focusing on super-heroes and villains and revitalizing them with a painterly approach. As always, exhibits at The Kemp are open to the public free of charge during all open business hours.

  2. Wichita Falls Ride to Read

    Children wishing to visit the library during the summer months will be able to take a bus for free to the library. Any child ages 8 and up can ride the City bus to and from the library for free. Children 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult, who may also ride to the library without paying a fare. Fare cards are available for pickup at the library. Children will have the back of their fare card stamped as validation that they have visited the library. The event begins May 28th and ends August 23rd, 2019.

    Do you want to learn how to sketch? You will meet at the Farmer's Market and stroll around downtown Wichita Falls together sketching what you see. All materials will be provided. You will receive a clipboard, sketch paper, pencil, felt tip markers, ballpoint pen, and a pencil pouch. The supplies will be yours to keep. Please wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes and bring a bottle of water. Sketching will improve your art, but did you know it can improve your life in other ways too? The same skills you use when you sketch can help you to be more observant. This can make you a better conversationalist, employee, parent, friend, and more.
