    The Kemp is the latest exhibit in the What's Up Downstairs? Gallery at the Kemp features the artwork of WFHS art teacher Chris Mayfield. His work reinterprets contemporary pop culture images, focusing on super-heroes and villains and revitalizing them with a painterly approach. As always, exhibits at The Kemp are open to the public free of charge during all open business hours.

  3. After School Fishing

    May 14, 2019, 4:30 PM - May 21, 2019, 6:00 PM @ South Weeks Pond

    Come join the fun! Parks & Recreation and the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department will conduct these FREE after school fishing sessions for all area youth that are interested. Kids need only to show up and be prepared to have a good time. A limited number of poles will be available to borrow from TPWD and bait will be provided. Participants will receive personalized & expert instruction on common fishing techniques. Fish, of legal size, can be take home (if parents approve, of course). All should bring a bucket for "take home" fish, a drink, hat & sunscreen. Register on-site at South Weeks Pond the day of the event.

    Jessica Cartwright, director of NAMI-Wichita Falls, will be sharing information with parents about how to recognize signs of depression or mental illness in your child. She will also be sharing resources parents can reach out to for help, and there will be time for questions as well.
