    The latest exhibit at the Galleria at the Forum highlights the abstract expressionist work of local artist Danielle Janecek. Growing up in rural Texas immersed the artist in appreciation for the natural world which continues to this day. Working with mixed media to find the abstraction of her observations, she builds images in layers organically to find the final visual statement in each piece.

  3. Christmas Tree Disposal

    December 26, 2018, 8:00 AM - January 15, 2019, 6:00 PM @ City Transfer Station and City Land Fill.

    Only real trees that have been completely stripped of the tree stand, all decorations, and lights will be accepted. No artificial trees will be accepted. The trees that are dropped off will be ground up and used as mulch throughout the City parks. Two locations City Transfer Stations, 3200 Lawrence Road, M-F 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, Sat 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, City Landfill, 10984 Wiley Road- Open M-Sat 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

  4. City Council Meeting

    January 15, 2019, 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM @ Municipal Auditorium.

    The Wichita Falls City Council meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. The meetings are held in the Council Chambers located on the first floor of Municipal Auditorium. The meetings are open to the public. The City Council Agenda is posted on this site the Friday prior to the scheduled Council meeting.

  5. Diabetes Self-Management Education Classes

    January 15, 2019, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District

    The diabetes education classes are for individuals 18 and up with the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. Meet for 2-hours, once a week, for a 9-week span, and cover topics such as nutrition, physical activity, complications, and more.

  6. VITA Tax Training for Tax Year 2018

    VITA is the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program that has provided free tax preparation to households at or below $64,000 this volunteer staff was able to assist over 3, 500 people last year. If you want to learn a new life skill, boost your resume, keep your mind sharp, and/or get all volunteer hours you need/want they will have 6 sessions to choose from but you must attend ALL the classes provided in that session.
