  4. Santa Gives the Gift of Reading by Paying Your Fines!

    Santa wants you to come back to the library, so he is paying your fines for Christmas! Come in with your card (or an ID) between December 15th and December 31st, and the library will waive your late fees. **Note: This does NOT apply to lost or damaged book fees.

  5. New Gallery Exhibit at The Forum: "Abstract Nature" by Danielle Janecek

    The latest exhibit at the Galleria at the Forum highlights the abstract expressionist work of local artist Danielle Janecek. Growing up in rural Texas immersed the artist in appreciation for the natural world which continues to this day. Working with mixed media to find the abstraction of her observations, she builds images in layers organically to find the final visual statement in each piece.

  7. LAST CHANCE TO SEE ElectriCritters: A Lighted Christmas Display

    December 22, 2018, 6:30 AM - 8:30 PM @ River Bend Nature Center.

    ElectriCritters, River Bend Nature Center's annual lighted Christmas display will be open every Friday and Saturday (Closed for November 17th). With the flip of a switch, more than 60,000 lights on more than 155 lighted displays will glitter and sparkle, bringing the sights and sounds of the season to adults and children. Santa, Mrs. Clause, and the Butterfly Queen will make an appearance each night. After exploring the lighted grounds come on into the Candy Cane Cafe and enjoy hot chocolate and apple cider, feast on hot cookies and popcorn, and shop for holiday gifts and stocking stuffers. River Bend is a stroller and wheelchair accessible. ElectriCritters is the major fundraiser for River Bend Nature Center. Proceeds help fund education programs enjoyed by over 44,000 children and adults of our community each year.

Don't forget your camera! Ceramic Santa's Cookie Plate that your child will get to paint with the year on it! Night before Christmas Bath Sugar- infused with sleepy smell and herbs! Reindeer Food Station so the reindeer know where to stop! Hot chocolate test tube that your child will get to customize with sprinkles and marshmallows for an easy to make drink on Christmas Eve! Each item with the exception of pictures with Santa will be priced separately.
