City Employees Race to Deliver Christmas Magic
Wichita Falls, Texas,- City of Wichita Falls employees will be holding their 7th Annual NASTRIKE (Tricycle Racing) Championship, to raise funds, food and gifts for the Christmas Family Program, Friday, December 7th, at the Central Services Complex located at 2100 Seymour Hwy (near the entrance to Lucy Park). The driver’s meeting will be held at 11:45 a.m. with the first green flag (signifying the start of a heat race) dropping at high noon. Admission to the “racing facility” is a donation of non-perishable food items (canned or boxed goods that can be used for a Christmas day meal). The Christmas Family Program ensures a joyful Christmas for more than 50 deserving families by providing gifts for children and food for a Christmas dinner. Donations are raised through the sale of special $10.00 VIP tickets, which are good for a catered lunch and exclusive, track-side seating. Additional support is raised through lunch sales to race fans, gift donations and non-perishable food donations. For more information or to donate please contact the Public Information Office at 761-7401.* * * * * * *
