Municipal Court Prosecutor
Defend the City, its officers and employees (while in performance
of their official duties) against lawsuits
Draft contracts, leases, deeds, and other legal instruments,
to be used on behalf of the governmental entity
Attend City Council meetings and various board and
commission meetings, as required
Protect the City’s interests regarding rates
charged by utility companies
Municipal Court Prosecutorial Responsibilities
Traffic (Speeding, running a stop sign, etc.)
Health Violations (Dogs at large, smoking in prohibited areas, etc.)
Code (Weeds & grass, junked vehicles, parking in front yard, etc.)
This office provides effective legal representation in defense of lawsuits filed against the City of Wichita Falls. However, this service does not extend to providing legal advice to citizens on personal issues. The assistance of a private attorney may be required.
