A dangerous animal is defined as any animal who is not provoked into defending itself, or attacking any other animal or humans. An animal that is determined to be a danger to human life, health or safety. Dogs that are barking from within the safe confines of a fenced yard are not considered aggressive or dangerous.
All animal bites, scratches or attacks which cause a break in the skin shall be reported to Animal Control.
We do have a
Dangerous Ordinance that defines and sets restrictions for dogs that may attack humans or other domestic animals.
