Establishments that have a Soft Serve (ice cream, yogurt, etc.) machine are required to have at least one employee with a Soft Serve Certification, also known as a Frozen Dessert Operator Certification in addition to the annual permit add on called "Soft Serve". The certification is valid for 2 years while the permit is valid for one year. The local ordinance can be found here.

After the course has been completed, fill out an affidavit and come to the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District located at 17oo 3rd Street in Wichita Falls, TX to pay $20 for and receive your Soft Serve Certification (bring your affidavit).
