RESPONSIBILITIES


The Records Clerk Section maintains and processes all criminal records, reports on accidents and crime reports. The Front Desk takes reports on minor criminal incidents not requiring an officers presence. This can be done in person at the WFPD Front Desk Section (610 Holliday St.) or by calling 940.761.7792.

HOW TO OBTAIN RECORDS


Reports are available to the public, for a fee, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Records Clerk Section provides Crash Reports for $6.00, Offense Reports for $.10 per printed page, Clearance Letters are $5.00 (available from 8am-4:30pm), Certified Copies are $2.00 per document. Taxi Permits are also cleared through this section.

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT REPORTS


Motor Vehicle Accident Crash Reports are now available online for $11.00 (Note: This fee may increase without notice.) with a credit card at: buycrash.lexisnexisrisk.com

Minimum requirements for successful search for on-line crash reports are one of:


  • State (Texas), Jurisdiction (Wichita Falls Police Department), First Name, Last Name, Date of Incident
  • State (Texas), Jurisdiction (Wichita Falls Police Department), First Name, Last Name, Street
  • State (Texas), Jurisdiction (Wichita Falls Police Department), Date of Incident, Street
