| HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME)
HOME is the largest federal block grant to state and local governments designed exclusively to create affordable housing for low to moderate-income households. HOME provides formula grants to states and localities that communities use in partnership with local nonprofit organizations and/or developers to fund a wide range of activities that help with the construction, acquisition or repair for low-income households.
First Time Homebuyers Program
The City of Wichita Falls currently offers its low to moderate income families and individuals a First Time Homebuyer Program where the City provides up to $5,500 for qualified applicants that can be used for buyer's closing cost, and/or down payment requirements, and/or for reducing the mortgage loan principal.
